Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers! I’m raising funds to build a dream mobility ride for a remarkable young man from my church, Ryan Michael “Peanut” Caldwell.
Peanut lives with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a progressive muscle-wasting disease diagnosed when he was 8. While DMD challenges his strength and mobility, it doesn’t define him. He’s an outgoing, hilarious firecracker—a Texas sports superfan, the basketball team’s manager, active at church, and the friend who turns any day into an adventure.
As DMD progresses, Peanut needs tools that fit him. The perfect solution: a Japanese Kei truck—compact, customizable, and built for his size and independence. Picture Peanut rolling up a powered ramp, locking his wheelchair into the driver’s position, and using adapted controls to hit a school game, church outing, or a spontaneous road trip.
We’re teaming up to make it real: Muddy Bottom Mini Trucks, ATX Custom Auto, Lone Star Kei, Japan Car Direct, Prodigy Audio, Rox Box, and more.
Costs: special equipment ~$15,000; base truck ~$10,000. Labor is donated. We’re aiming for $29,000 to cover parts, the truck, and safety extras—so it’s reliable and Peanut-proof.

Who are we and why are we here
Muddy Bottom Mini Trucks is a Christian, Veteran owned and operated company with loads of experience in the mini truck world. Owner, Kevin Seymour has spent the last 20 years working on helicopters as a Unites States Marine Corps airframe mechanic and Lead Quality Flight Inspector at Bell Textron. Quality, durability, and customer satisfaction are priorities.
I was first introduced to the "Mini Truck" as a young Marine on the Huey and Cobra flight line at HMLA-167 (Have Guns Will Travel). We called them "Mighty Might's." They were key assets for the heavy loads and quick trips they were required to endure. You could say they are Mil-Spec work horses.
Japanese Mini trucks are the future for everyday outdoor enthusiasts in the farming, ranching and hunting communities. With their 4X4, locking differentials, dump and scissor lift beds, enclosed cabs with A/C and heat, they are a no-brainer.
